The Windham Mountain Bike Park and Scenic Skyride are scheduled to open on Saturday, Jwith significant operational changes for employees and guests. Out of State guests must complete a traveler health form prior to arrival. Please read the guidance carefully and check regularly, as this guidance is subject to frequent update and change. IF YOU ARE TRAVELING TO WINDHAM MOUNTAIN FROM OUTSIDE OF NEW YORK, PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT GUIDANCE BEFORE YOUR VISIT: In response to increased rates of COVID-19 transmission in certain states within the United States, and to protect New York’s successful containment of COVID-19, the State has joined with New Jersey and Connecticut in jointly issuing a travel advisory for anyone returning from travel to states that have a significant degree of community-wide spread of COVID-19. We will keep you posted and look forward to seeing you soon. We ask for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we adapt operations with the health and safety of the Windham Mountain community in mind. The number of day tickets sold may have to be limited over key weekend and holiday periods.Īs a reminder to those who have purchased a season pass (or are considering a pass purchase) and are uncomfortable about the upcoming season for any reason, a rollover option is available that allows you to push your pass purchase to the 21/22 winter season if you contact us between September 1 and December 10, 2020.Īgain, our goal is to offer winter recreation that we all love. That said, season pass quantities may be limited depending on the amount sold through the October 12 pricing deadline. At this point, we do not expect limits on season pass usage or midweek, non-holiday visitation. On the mountain, as much skiing and riding as possible will be available with significant upgrades to the snowmaking system. We’re also likely to encourage guests to “boot up” at their vehicles because of indoor capacity restrictions. Expect to see reservations required for restaurants, food to-go from Mountain Express, food trucks, tents, heaters and outdoor heated benches to allow for more usable outdoor space. Significant changes are planned for internal operations in food & beverage, the ski shop, rentals, lessons, seasonal lockers, restrooms, the spa and others. New York State guidelines will likely limit indoor capacity and require mandatory mask usage in all indoor spaces. We also stay in close contact with state and regional authorities as things continues to evolve. The ski industry is great about sharing best practices and is working closely together this summer. The overarching goal for the season is to operate daily, safely and without disruption, but it’s going to take all of us doing our part to make that happen. At this time we are optimistic that skiing and riding will happen but many aspects of operating the ski area will be different. We are doing everything we can now to ensure that we can all participate in the activities we love this winter. We have learned a lot about distancing and pandemic protocols that will be helpful going forward. It is nice to see more people than usual living in Windham over the summer months. Thanks to all who have stopped by and kept us somewhat sane. Mulligans deck is one of the nicest places in town to enjoy a great outdoor lunch or dinner and the sunsets are spectacular. Sky rides have proven very popular this summer and many hikers have enjoyed the peak-to-peak trail at the top of the mountain. We are deep into winter planning and preparation in a Covid-19 world, so I thought you would appreciate an update.Īs summer winds down, the golf course and mountain bike park are in great shape and have both been busy. It never fails that a couple of cooler nights near the end of August prompt some of our fun-loving friends to joke, “are you making snow tonight”? If nothing else, it reminds us that winter is not far away.
